The Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, is one of the most popular traditional festivals in China. It is said to commemorate the death of the patriotic Chinese poet Qu Yuan, who was framed by corrupt officials at the time and committed suicide in the Miluo River after the rent to show his protest against the corrupt officials. The traditions and customs of this festival vary from place to place, but there are some commonalities.
